Stefano De BerardinisSenior full-stack engineer

I make heavy web interfaces fast.

Six years shipping production web applications end to end, from React and TypeScript through Node and PostgreSQL. I take the interfaces that got heavy, the ones with a canvas, a map, a live data feed, or all three, and I take responsibility for the whole thing rather than one layer of it.

A geospatial grid that stopped dropping frames.

The map client renders a live parcel grid over the whole world, and the render loop was building polygons on the main thread. I moved construction out of the loop and rewrote the hot paths in WebAssembly, then went after the load path, and fixed a double-render bug on the way through.

Payments that stream for ninety days with nobody watching.

Shipped end to end as top contributor across backend, frontend and the distribution logic, with payouts streaming on a 90-day schedule and recipients weighted by a vote. I was primary author of the TypeScript backend, Express APIs over PostgreSQL with Prisma and Kysely, an hourly job queue reconciling state and writing only the diffs, schema-checked boundaries and role-based access control.

A funding platform from an empty repository.

Led engineering and was primary author of the platform, a Next.js and TypeScript app with authentication, GraphQL, PostgreSQL and real-time streaming payments, fed by a TypeScript indexer serving several frontends at once. The pilot round put a matching pool in front of the people it was for and let them vote on where it went.

I work inside agentic coding harnesses daily, for large refactors and multi-repo work, and I build production features on top of them.
